Dongguan American Parts Supplier Co., Ltd. (APS) was established in Aug. 1st, 1997. Our plant covers an area of over 20,000 square meters and has over 450 employees. We specialize in exporting wooden decoration and furniture parts. All of our items are hand-carved such as corbels, ornaments, overlays, long mouldings, posts, carved door panels, valances, fireplace mantels and bun feet. All the lumber we have been using is imported from the US, including cherry, maple, red oak, alder, mahogany, and walnut. 95% of our items are shipped to the US and a small portion of our items are shipped to European countries. We are well experienced in producing all kinds of home decoration products.

Our products are original in design, excellent in quality and rational in price. We have been enjoying high reputation in the international markets. Bedding major Simmons said it is partnering with United Furniture Inds. to brand a collection of furniture with the Simmons and Beautyrest brands. The license agreement combines the strength of Simmons' technology and brand names with the fashion-forward look of United Furniture's lines of stationary upholstery, motion upholstery, recliners and sleepers, officials for the two companies said. Chemicals in Household Cleaning Products Linked to Asthma, Allergies

Exposure to household cleaning products during pregnancy and early life makes children more likely to develop asthma. Research has already proven that a young child's risk of acquiring asthma increases if their early life lacks viruses, bacteria and endotoxins (pathogen products). This is called the 'hygiene hypothesis' and it theorizes that this exposure in a person's early life is required for the immune system to develop and strengthen properly. This research, contained in the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) of the University of Bristol of the United Kingdom, takes this theory one step further by suggesting that it is not merely the lack of bacteria and their products that lead to asthma and allergies, but in fact, the chemicals within household cleaning products. Previous evidence for this mechanism has come from studies of workers who are regularly exposed to similar cleaning chemicals and thus, have an increased risk of asthma and other respiratory ailments. Perhaps both a lack of antigens for a developing immune system to fight and chemicals in cleaning products have a role in the hygiene hypothesis. This long-term study has followed more than 13,000 children from before their birth to the age of sixteen. Early life exposure, including during pregnancy, to said chemicals correlated to a 41 percent increase in a child's risk of acquiring asthma by the age of seven. The prevalence of asthma in the United Kingdom and other developed countries has increased in recent years. The chemicals of household cleaning products are just one factor of the multifaceted origin of asthma's development. Other indoor environmental factors include tobacco smoke, dust mites, synthetic pillows with synthetic chemicals, and plasticizers from plastics found in household dust. Of the high-volume chemicals produced in amounts greater than 10,000 or 1 million pounds per year, which number almost 20,000 according to a study in 1996, only 43% have been tested for human toxicity and just 7% have been studied for effects on human development. This study shows that the risk of asthma is not entirely dependent on the genes inherited from a person's parents. While genetics probably has some role to play, the environment surrounding a developing person is as important to his health as the quality of the soil, light and water is to a growing plant.

China to top Asian consumer markets in 2009

XIAMEN, Sept. 8 -- By 2009 China will become the largest consumer market in Asia said Chinese Minister of Commerce Chen Deming. Speaking at the 12th Xiamen International Trade and Investment Fair on Monday in the east Fujian Province, Chen predicted entertainment, housing and tourism will expand their shares in the domestic market. "As one of the world's fastest growing consumer markets, China is a world leader in mobile phone sales, domestic tourism, and broadband network penetration," said Chen. He also noted China is the second largest seller and buyer of gold and automobiles in the world. The country ranks third in consumption of luxury items and health care supplies. The average per capita GDP reached 2,456 U.S. dollars last year, said Chen. He added that consumption had bigger shares than investment for the first time in the nation's economic growth. For the past five years, China's annual consumption growth rate had been 13.1 percent. If the growth rate continues at just 10 percent, China's consumer market scale will exceed 30 trillion yuan (4.38 trillion U.S. dollars) by 2020. Chen predicted China will top the global luxury market by 2014,with a market share of 23 percent. He also said by 2015, the country could become the world's fourth largest provider of outbound tourists. Currently, China is the second largest consumer market in Asia next to Japan. That is predicted to change by 2015. According to areport by the Boston Consulting Group, done in 2007, China is likely to become the world's second largest consumer market next only to the Unites States.

The figure marked a dip from annual growth of 20.9 percent in the first five months of the year. Profits grew 36.7 percent from a year earlier in the first 11 months of 2007. The agency did not give a full-year figure for last year. Some analysts are sceptical of the data, saying the results are driven by big monopolies that benefit from state protection. Industrial production in the first eight months was up 15.7 percent from the same period last year. The statistics office did not issue a statement with the figures, leaving it unclear to what extent output was affected by factory closures and transport curbs introduced to improve Beijing's air quality for the Olympic Games. Excluding the months of January and February, when factory closures for the Lunar New Year make output statistics volatile, last month's growth rate was the slowest since August 2002. Economists polled by Reuters had expected a rise of 23.0 percent The government researcher had said the increase would be 23.2 percent. The figures are nominal and so are not adjusted for inflation.
